Flydubai is continuing its expansion into Central and Eastern Europe with the launch of 2X-weekly Dubai- Bratislava (Slovakia) flights, as well as new service to Prague (Czech Republic) and Sofia (Bulgaria) in December.
“The airline is continuing its expansion into Central and Eastern Europe following the announcement of flights to Sarajevo and Zagreb earlier this year,” CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith, said in a statement.
The carrier said that during 2014 it had announced 26 new routes and now operates to 11 destinations in Central and Eastern Europe.
The carrier took delivery of eight new Boeing 737-800s during the current year. It operates 43 Boeing 737-800s.
Flydubai also announced in the first quarter of 2015 it will launch 4X-weekly service from Dubai to Nejran (Saudi Arabia) from Jan. 10; 4X-weekly service to Hargeisa (Somaliland) from March 5; and 3X-weekly Dubai-Chennai service (India) from March 31.
These additional routes expand the carrier’s network to 89 destinations in 46 countries.
