    Hai

I found that several aeroplanes of these types were used at civil flyingschools.

Now I am interresting how and in which colors these aeroplanes were painted.
Who can help me with pictures/drawings and information how and in which colors they were painted?

Maybe some one can tel me at which flyingschool they were used?
If so please give me the name and addres (email) of this school?

If some one knows some one who can also be of any help send my request to them and/or give me there name and addres (email)?

Thanks, this would be helpfull with my TS inquiry.

Thanks, but I have this information already.
I hoped someone has information from flyingclubs itself, which maybe, has specific colors/details?

Back when Junak 2s and 3s were used by civilian pilots, there were no separate flying clubs and schools in the country, only the local divisions of Aero Club of Poland. Throughout '50s and '60s they were mostly supplied with surplus military planes withdrawn from the Air Force. As a result, most Junaks retained their military green / light blue paintscheme, with national insignia replaced by white civilian registration. Some were repainted in more civilian style later, but these were exception rather than the rule and finding quality photos of them (or any photos for that matter!) will be rather difficult. You have to remember that not many folks could afford a good camera back then, plus taking photos around any aviation facilities was a little bit risky business, given the cold war era secrecy & security hysteria on our side of Iron Curtain. It changed in the '70s, but by that time Junaks were already replaced with other types.

You might want to search for old photos from Aviation Museum In Cracow, as the Junak they had in their collection sported a civilian green/white paintscheme before it was restored and repainted (to a more common military green) a couple of years ago. Dedicated scale modellers forums (and scale modellers books / articles) would also be good places to check. Mind You, however, chances of finding retired aeroclub members who still remember Junaks and have their photos, or finding any official archives with such photos, are close to nil.

    Cheers,
